Operating boundaries

What Reclaimr does, what remains with the importer and customs professional, and what can create a Reclaimr invoice.

Origination and case operations—not declaration.

Reclaimr identifies and coordinates opportunities but does not submit customs declarations. Execution is performed by the importer, its existing agent or another authorized customs professional.

Screening is preliminary.

Deterministic Rule Packs make the preliminary requirements explainable and repeatable. They do not replace independent customs advice, professional determination or the decision of the relevant customs authority.

The recovery remains with the importer.

Reclaimr does not receive or hold customs refunds, duties, client money, cargo, deposits or tax funds. An authority pays the importer directly, or the importer avoids the duty.

Only realized benefit supports a success fee.

Maximum potential exposure and professionally validated estimates do not create a success invoice. The signed engagement defines the fee model, rate, tax treatment, protection period and any negotiated limits.

Signed terms are versioned, never rewritten.

The software retains immutable versions, document hashes and signing evidence. Amendments create new records rather than changing a signed agreement.
